Ok so i just emailed my professor and.....?

she responded . I had her email and emailed her saying to email me bak to make sure that her email was still working and that i had to ask her an important question.... Well my question was to basically find a way to argue with her about the grade she had give me. I took her Statistics course back in the Spring term 07'... so I don't know if too late to have her change my grades for the following reasons....

first the homework i did for her i had an A on and the spss which is a data software I recieved around a B average on ..

Ok this is the downfall the midterm I took I recieve a fail mark around a 40 -60 since I was confused at wheterh we was able to take notes from the text to explain our work and some students did and received a passing mark and I failed the midterm since I was sooooooo worried as to making sure I 'd pass it and I ended going blank and hesitating that I wasnt concenrating on the exam.

So how can i word all that into a decent way to let her know that I tried in the class and if she can reconsider to somehow change my grade by having me redo an assignment and /or final exam. Also I always showed up to class and never missed. I mean cmon all of ma other psychology classes are b- and above leaving this course to bring me down on my gpa and chances of getting acccepted to grad school since a 4-year degree wont do much for me if im majoring in forensic psychology.

10POINTS FOR BEST ANSWER PLZZOk so i just emailed my professor and.....?
Spring 07 grade? Drop it. If you were my student and asked for me to review a grade from way back then, I would tell you that the boat had sailed.....

The time to get help with notes is DURING class, not a year and a half, almost two years later.

You seem to have a focus on some big prize at the end, yet lost sight of the important milestones along the way.......

Sorry kiddo, you will have to eat this one and learn from the lesson.Ok so i just emailed my professor and.....?
what?? you took her class TWO YEARS AGO and you want to argue your grade with her now???

good luck with that. not only will she not remember you but she will think you are crazy and is probably unable to touch the grades anymore anyway.
I don't think it's worth it for you to ask your professor to change your grade. This is not her fault and not her problem, and even if she could do anything about it (which she can't--it IS too late and your reasons insufficient), you're asking a lot of work from her to fix your mistake, which comes across as rude even though you don't mean for it to be. She will only get annoyed with you, and if your goal is to go to graduate school, you don't want to leave any of your professors with a negative impression. Academia is a small world, people talk.

If it's not too late, retake the class. If you liked this professor, respond instead that you would like to retake her class because you're unhappy with your performance the first time and know you can do better. It'll be boring, yes, but the new grade will replace the old one for your GPA and you'll have a better handle on the material. It will be easier the second time around (but don't take it for granted--you'll still need to do the work). And this time, ask well before the final exam whether notes are allowed!
