I am having a problem with my Spanish teacher. She is being extremely unfair.?

Long story short.

Another student and I were discussing the grades on our quizzes. I got a 96, he got a 94 and we got the same exact thing wrong. He went to the teacher, and the teacher deducted 2 points from mine, giving me a 94. It was then I realized multiple (4+) people got the SAME question wrong and still received a 96, and she didn't change their grades. I went to her after class and asked her why she changed only mine. Her excuse was that she forgot to use a calculator and ';guesstimated';. When I asked her why she was able to use a calculator for 1 person, and not the rest, she said ';she was grading quickly';. I explained to her how it was not the 2 points I cared about, but more so the fact that she took 2 points ONLY off of mine.

I know this teacher well; she has favorite students, and I have no doubt this was done purposely. She said she'll ';think about it';, but I don't see what there is to think about. If she does not make the right decision (giving me my 2 points back), I am filing a complaint about her because this is absurd; and this isn't the first time either.

She does this ALL THE TIME! She deducts random points and grades incorrectly, and when I ask her for my points back, her excuse is ';This is an honors class';. I try to tell her that it doesn't give her the right to take off random points. She has only been teaching at this school for 2 years and her opinion will be regarded just as much as mine if needed to go that far, because I am a straight A high honors student, so obviously I am aware of everything regarding my grades.

Any advice?

Again, it's NOT the 2 points, it's the fact that she gives grades based on WHO. I knew she's been doing this all along, I just haven't been able to ';catch'; her. I did now; and I am actually kind of glad this happened so an end can be put to this absurdity.I am having a problem with my Spanish teacher. She is being extremely unfair.?
Wow. That's how my Spanish teacher was--an uppity *****--same as one of my old business teachers.

Are you in HS (I think you meant to type ';high school honors'; instead of ';high honors';, so I'm not too sure)? If so, your grades aren't all that important (especially by a few points here or there), learning the material so you'll be ready for any college course or any placement exams you'll be taking is what you should be concerned with. You shouldn't take these things personally (don't know if you are, but it sounds like it), HS teachers have no clue what they're doing.

One of my business teachers was the same way, and on top of her lack of cerebral capacity to count backwards from 100, she actually bought alcohol for her ';favorites';. True story. I never really let her grading get to me or anything, just kept chugging along.

Stay polite, and suck up to her--although it's really hard to do--if you really want to be treated as every student should be.

Sorry to preach and sound condescending, but take it from someone who has a 4.0 in college right now, who placed out of spanish, pre-calculus and physics. Not to mention, that business class I was talking about helped me a sh1t-ton, I have so much more accounting knowledge than just about everyone in my class of 500.

File the complaint (if you haven't already), if you must, but your administration most likely will have no effect on her if it's not an error of at least 10 points or so.
