How should I ask my teacher to raise my grades?

Hi,

I am a senior in high school, and was recently offered a full-ride scholarship to wrestle at the University of Michigan. However, they need to see my first semester senior grades. I didn't do too well first semester and I really need this scholarship. I know for a fact that my teachers are allowed to change grades from past semester. How should I ask my teacher to raise my grades?
Well u could ask them 4 extra credit but think it is too late 4 that. How should I ask my teacher to raise my grades?
do better this semester and hope that proves to be a positive influence and then they might think about raising your grades for last semester. Its a start after all. You can start by getting better grades and they might think last semester was just a small hiccup. That is my suggestion. I would not approach them about it hough. I would not show up and ask them to alter it. It would be dumb.
Let them know the situation and ask if there is anything else you can do that could possibly bring up your grade. I wouldn't count on them changing it for you just because you need the scholarship though. If you knew you needed the scholarship you should have done better. A lot of the student athletes at my high school had a hard time balancing their athletics with coursework, but went to good schools on their own merit. Again, talk to your teachers and see if you can raise your grades, but don't expect them just to change them for you. Try to do better this semester! If you get good grades now UofM might put you on a conditional scholarship. Good Luck!
Instead of trying to change the past, let U Michigan know what is going on. Maybe they will let you get the scholarship if you agree to keep your grades at a certain level while you are there. As a teacher myself, if a student asked me to change a past grade, I would see it as a sign of immaturity. It is better to recognize the problem and do what you can now to fix it.
Explain why you need this scholarship/the opportunity that awaits you. Then, ask if there is anything you can do to raise last semester's grades. For example . . . extra credit, missed work, etc.

Keep in mind, many teachers will feel that they did all they could to help you and you probably didn't do as much as you can. In all honesty, it is not their responsibility/fault.

You may be allowed to make a difference in your grade in some classes, but not others. Do what you can and show the college that you tried.

I wish you the best!
You can't change the past.

Any teacher who changes the bad grades you earned last semester is spineless and devoid of ethics.

Do better next semester and after those improved next quarter grades come out, send them to University of Michigan with an explanation for what happened last semester and assure them your improvement this semester is going to be a continued trend when you arrive there.
sleep with them

or bribe with money or something???

i dont think you can change grades from first semester but i could be wrong

and extra credit like a project or something
