Do schools have the power to change grades ? helppp?

I was out a lot of times this year, for legitamet reasons, and im a freshmen in highschool. I made up all the work, and this week is the last week of school, i tried to hand in the work but teachers would not take it when they were supposed to, i had all the make up done originally, but a student threw my books out the school window, and they were stolen, the issue was never fully resolved. My mom is now taking this problem up with the school committee and the superintendent, plus my parents know many people. Will they change my grades because as of right now, i am failing everything, i made a porftolio showing how last year i had all 95 averages and avobe, and my necaps were in Distinction area, which is the highest, and that I am a really smart student, and if I was in school I could have had all high Bs or As if the teachers allowed me to get the work from 2nd and 3rd quarters. what do you think they will say, I really have a good case on my side, and there are many more factores that ***** on my side, does the superintent have the power to give me B averages or anything like that with a legitament reason, because I will show her all of the work.Do schools have the power to change grades ? helppp?
Yes, they have the power to adjust your grade. I'm glad your parents are supportive of you. I realize you may be somewhat stressed out; but try to keep calm. The school admin/super. should be supportive of your efforts and look at your entire situation. My son was in a similar situation this past year and they have been extremely helpful and supportive. Continue to be honest about the situation, and I'm sure things will work out.Do schools have the power to change grades ? helppp?
The superintendent is not qualified to judge your work; that's what your teachers are for. If they didn't grade your work, they obviously were not under the impression they had made arraignments with you to do so. If you really want to make a case for how well you're doing in school, make sure you use the spell and grammar check next time - this missive wouldn't help your case at all.
I think that we are getting only part of the story. How many absences did you have during the school year? What were what you call the legitimate reasons for your absences? What were the reasons that the teachers refused to accept your work? Those and others need to be answered before you can ask someone to give an informed opinion./
