robbers get less?

sure you can argue what he did was wrong, but to be in prison till he is 56 year old man for a ferris bueller type stunt is ridiculous. I think he deserves no more the 3 months in jail. How is their a kid potentially get 38 years in prison for changing his grades, when molesters murders and. . .?
Robbers don't get less.

with 69 counts:

Altering public records

Stealing public records

Computer Fraud

Burglary

Identity Theft

Receiving Stolen property

Conspiracy

Altering 12 other student records

Installing Spy ware to access records from home

And you say this poor child OH he is 18 years old.

If tried as he should be, as an adult, he could be a 3x looser like robbers and others are?

They get caught doing 3 of the same crimes and 3x your out, on first offense with 3 counts of burglary robbery or?

So whats so special about this kid? You are always looking for equity in the law and here we have it, but; he will probably do a year in the county Jail if that, remember he comes from a rich community.

Looking at it from a law Enforcement Perspective:

For committing 69 crimes, there is a POSSIBLE SENTENCE OF 38 years, or 13,884 days, divided by the 69 crimes, this is approximately 202 day per crime, divided by 30 days per month, this is equal to just over 6 mo per charge? (Not BAD I SAY)

I think this is rather lenient. Seeing a burglary suspect can get 20 years on one charge alone? (Drugs 40 years)

I think he should get life without parole like some of my other 3 x losers got.

One less hacker to worry about. How is their a kid potentially get 38 years in prison for changing his grades, when molesters murders and. . .?
A potential 38 years is not the same
I have not heard that story. I beat he will not do that again. Thats almost unbelievable. But it's about par for our court system.
38 years might be a bit much, but he's not in trouble just for changing his grades. He broke into a school, he hacked computers, he altered records, and other such crimes. This isn't a little prank, he was doing all this to get into college. And he broke multiple laws. Now he will pay the price. But just because he could get 38 years, doesn't mean he will, he will probably get much less.
You only think he deserves 3 months? That is the problem with society today, nobody thinks that punishing criminals is right. I think that he should get the sentence, maybe it will make the next kids think about it before they act like goofs. There are consequences to their actions and once you and every other liberal type learns that, this world would be a better place.
If you think he is getting charged with crimes that add up to 38 years in prison for simply ';changing his grades'; you obviously did not read the story. He is charged with several counts of burglary for entering the school with a stolen key and many counts of hacking in to school computers to not only change his grades, but those of 12 other students.

He has already started a life of crime.

While he could get as much as 38 years if found guilty of every count AND given the MAXIMUM sentence for each one, I highly suspect it will be far less. He does however deserve some time in prison.
The 38 years is press sensationalism to get your attention, that's the most he COULD, MAYBE, MIGHT get, and what he would get if he were a few years older and working for some large corporation and broke into their computers. Most likely he'll get a few years probation and a job testing computer security systems.
And I guess this recent investment scam Ponzi scheme is just a little Punked type joke to you. This stupid punk is getting what he deserves. Realistically I hope he gets 20 years. He'll probably get 5 years.

I bet 9/11 was just an airline accident to you.
because he outsmarted the system. It's not right, the sentence that is, but he messed with the authority he was supposed to be submissive to.

Plus he is different in a racist society. Anyways he hasn't been sentenced to all those charges that's just the most extreme sentence if he is found guilty of all those charges.
Because of his skin color and name. Minorities still can't get a fair shake in our justice/racist system.
