You have to ask your teacher. That is the only way. He will give you an assignment to complete and may want you to do chores around the classroom too. If you feel you know the material and that you have the capability to pass if you had just done the work, then your teacher should be willing to work with you. If you don't have a good handle on the material, maybe taking the class over is your best option.
