How does Science dual award work?

Last year I got:

*UNIT 1*

Biology - 67%

Chemistry - 62%

Physics - 67%

I know that is overall a C. But how does it work for Unit 2 and how do they work out what 2 grades to give. Can Unit 2 overall grade change Unit 1 say if i get 40% in the 3 unit 2 exams? How does Science dual award work?
Double science award is not much different from single apart from the fact that you will get 2 GCSEs from it.

What ever overall grade you get, you will get it double. Say you achieve an overall B with both units, then you will get 2 Bs for science.

From those results, unless you manage to get 90%+ in unit 2 you cant change it into an A.

I suggest you do some retakes, and aim to score 70%+ in both units to get a B or A
