Starting 7th Grade. Change? A TEENY?

I'm going into 7th grade. My style is the casual Hollister, Abercrombie, Pac Sun, AE, Aero, Anchor Blue, Tilly's, etc. tops with bootcut jeans and Vans.



I wanna change a little bit for 7th grade. How do I change a little. I still wanna go to these stores. There's no way I'm going punk/goth/emo so don't mention that stuff. I just wanna look cuter and a lil different.

Get a whole new haircut! Surprise people by getting a pixie cut or a cute bob. Get bangs, layers, highlights. If you want a drastic change you could dye your hair (with parental permission). Maybe experiment with how you put your outfits together. Do what you like and don't worry about what others like. Be you! Don't try to be anyone you're not. The summer before 7th grade or high school is the perfect chance for you to experiment with your look. And remember, if you chose to wear makeup make sure to keep it light and natural. But you're young, so I suggest to save the makeup until you are older. Embrace your natural beauty and enhance it!

i know exactly what u mean, i just finished 7th garde. i wear hollister and stuff. grow ur hair to just cover ur ears and eyes, and make it flip out around ur whole head. and also straighten ur hair.
well, your style as it is sounds great! But if you want to update it a bit more for 7th grade -%26gt;



-Maybe start looking in the Junior Department, rather than children's if you aren't already. If you are then......(look below)



-Try to go for more sophisticated pieces like instead of just millions of tees with the logos on them, get a nice button down or baby-doll top, etc. Skip the logos, because they make you seem younger and less put together, in my opinion!



-Instead of just Vans, mix it up with cool, colorful chucks (check out Delia's they have some AWESOME tie-dye chucks, that i want REALLLLY badly.) or ballet flats or flip flops every once in a while.



-Try updating your hairstyles. Get a new cut or buy some new clips and accessories to try out new looks!



-If you don't wear makeup to school yet, ask your mom if you can start wearing a little mascara and lip gloss or something. What a great way to start 7th grade!

I know you said you don't want to change where you shop but Rue21 has some cute stuff, just check out some stores you haven't gone to before just to see if you like some of the stuff there.

Tips 4 looking feminine!



1. You dont have to look like a total pink freak, kinda like I do, but you just need a few girly touches like a cute purse, or a floral scarf tied into your ponytail! U can also add like a belt or something just ACCESORIZE!!!



2. Always have to be color coordinated! NO EXCUSES!!! You can not wear yellow with black unless ur dressing up for halloween as a bumble bee or something like that lol... but any way, like some GOOD combinations are def pink and chocolate brown, turquoise and white, etc etc etc.
