You would need an amendment to the constitution. The senate was specifically designed to be equal. If not the states with the most population would control everything.What is needed to change the equal representation in senate?

equal representation would never be changed in the senate. It is the REASON for the senate. States have representation based on population in the House,, but the senate gives some say as to what is passed by giving equal representation to less populated states. Without the senate, large states like NY, and CA would decide for the rest of the country, regardless of what the people in states like RI, and Alaska think. So to change the equal representation in the senate would mean to destroy the senate all together. That would sound great to the east coast and southern california (liberals), but would mean disaster for the midwest (conservatives).

There is nothing needed except one thing.. We look at who to vote for by party and not by the most important thing. You may notice we just had a very Liberal Republican being voted in! It does not matter the party... what matters has proven to be if they are a Liberal or a Conservative. We have had 45 years of Liberal rule and I mean according the ';checks and balances'; which mean exactly this.. the President is not a king and he can get his way only by public pressure. However, would this pressure be a good thing as what is it for? We see the Liberal ideas have not worked.. Giving our tax money away only increases our debt and the cost of living for our families. Dollar value goes down and, if you still have your job, you will get less for each dollar. Look at gas prices now! We have high summer prices in our winter months. What will summer bring when farmers pay high price for their fuel and truck fuel must go up as well.. They give us our groceries. We were warned by even the Liberals to shop locally, meaning they will impose more penalties on the trucking and farm industry. This means they already were going to do this! I knew they would as this is how they get their way! It is those in middle-age and younger will suffer and those who are up in age, but not wealthy!
Our Nation is headed for the biggest depression ever! Much worse than 1929 and even worse than in 1887 when most companies closed their doors. Only the fool would say.,, hey, we had a Conservative President! We fail to see how our government works and so we get the same results. Our biggest problem is our Supreme Court. It is packed with 85% Liberals who have the same wrong ideas that have not worked for 45 years. We keep electing a majority of Liberals to Congress and Senate, no matter who we put in the White House! I know our last President did not do what he should have.. he should of held a news conference and asked us for help to pressure Congress and the Senate to make the good changes.
I am 64 and have been through the good times and saw the bad coming. Every time we had a Republican President, which was almost always Conservative then, we had a Liberal Senate and Congress. They could do little to nothing unless they appealed to the people. Now we have a Liberal media and have had this since the early 60's. What kind of response will a Conservative President get from this media? Our Supreme Court has made decisions one would have only found from the board members of the former USSR! They have done this many times and to do so have had to misinterpret our own Constitution or misdirect the meaning of it! It has always been to restrict real freedoms in our local community and in our lives. It is the harmless American supporting freedoms we have always had, but now are against the law. Our babies are being given DNA tests without our knowledge or permissions!
Do you really want a one world government headed by someone you could not know or trust? Our Supreme Court has made other decisions that increases our immoral actions allowed. Since you are about 13, you should investigate these on your own. It is not appropriate for me to post them. Do you see if I cannot post these it cannot be good? It is not what party we vote for, it is if they are borderline Communists of Conservative in their support. If Communist in their decisions, how can our freedoms increase? We know what freedoms are allowed in Communist China and still in modern Russia. I do not want it as they have... do you? Earl
