What happens if you fail a pass/no pass class at UC Berkely?

I took a course, changed the grading option to pass/no pass, and still managed to do poorly. How will this affect me? Is it basically the same as getting an F?What happens if you fail a pass/no pass class at UC Berkely?
yes its the same as an f, it just doesnt effect your gpa and you will have to take the class again to get rid of the ';grade'; or take a similar class in the area.

Don't worry to much if its the first time its happened, but if your in UC Berkely you must being doing something right! good luckWhat happens if you fail a pass/no pass class at UC Berkely?
Not quite...it doesn't look good on your transcript, of course, but it won't lower your GPA like an F would have. If you needed this class as a pre-req, then you will have to take it again.
