Changing university grade?

I received an F in one of my classes this semester (got A's in my other classes). I knew it had to be an error and had my professor go to the campus and check his records. Turns out the F was entered in error. I actually received an A- in the class. Now I had a 3.5 GPA and the F dropped it to a 3.1. I was applying for graduation this spring and I need the F to be changed to the A-. How long will it take (I believe it would be admissions and records dept??) to change to grade to an A-? The professor mentioned in the email he submitted for a grade change but it may take some time.Changing university grade?
This is when you get to go play nicely with the administrative assistants.

You go to the office of the registrar or equivalent and talk to someone there. Briefly tell them your story and how you need this to go through so you can graduate. Ask them how long it will take. Ask them if there is some leg work you can do for them that will hurry it along. Be polite and thank them.

ed: Yes, go in first thing when the college opens up again. Nice and polite will get you a long way. It sounds like this won't be much of a problem, just a little hassle .Changing university grade?
i feel for you there. could u contact admin dept and rush them up a bit. i know how u must wanna graduate.
Whatever you do, keep a copy of the professor's email...in case he's hit by a train (hopefully not).

Also, as a paying customer (i.e. student) you are actually entitled to a degree of customer service...so if the registrar is acting like a registrar (all attitude), you might want to forward the email to the president's office or ombudsman if the problem isn't resolved in a timely fashion. (Save that option for emergencies....start out nice, but plan for problems.)
Lets just say that $60 of roses don't hurt.
